Fixing an Xbox 360 graphical problem?
I have been trying to use the towel trick to fix my xbox 360 elite and it works for a while, then it starts screwing up again. The problem is that the picture has extremely bad distortion, discoloration and pixelation all over the screen on all 3d images. The 2d images are fine which indicates completely that there is a video card problem. I've heard that it could either be that the thermal compound between the graphics card and motherboard has disolved and needs to be reapplied (arctic silver 5) or that there are some joints somewhere inside the system that need to be soldered back together. Can someone please verify what I need to do to clear up my graphics use my xbox 360 again?

Unless you've already opened up your console, what you need to do is call Microsoft. That distortion means that you're going to get (if you haven't already) the 3 red lights or an E74 error from the failing graphics chip. Since even the oldest Elite units are less than 3 years old, both of those problems are covered under warranty. Why try to fix it yourself when Microsoft will do it for you for free?
You need to call Microsoft. If you modify or open or change anything in the xbox, the warranty will be void.

You need to bring it to Microsoft don't attempt to fix it yourself specially it's an elite O_O
