It most likely has milk or milk products in it, so NO... don't drink it! The milk in it would have definitely spoiled by now if it wasn't refridgerated.
That translates into more than the 10 second rule if you drop something on the floor. Personally, I am not afraid of clean dirt. But, I don't think I would call that situation clean dirt.
It would be loaded with sugar and some dairy that would support the bacteria that the person had on their hands. As time goes by, the bacteria multiply and the risk increases significantly (if in room air).
It is probably possible ...to put it in a larger container (so it doesn't boil over) and super-heat it in the microwave to kill the bacteria. BUT, I could NOT advise you to do that... for the $2-3 it costs... you will miss work and be too sick to enjoy the New Year. Open a packet of Swiss Miss and pretend it is Starbucks. It isn't worth it!
I work at starbucks and we make the hot chocolate out of milk, so no definitely not. If we made it out of water, than I'd say go for it, but not with milk, ewwwwww..... unless your house is as cold as mine, lmaoo.... than you might be ok. My house feels like a ******* fridge right now
If there was milk in it, then no. But I'll reheat drinks, or drink cold, through the day... but generally not a day and half later. Better throw it out than get sick from rotten milk.
