Alright, who's doing what? Tham, are you behind this? I googled it and wound up on a Wikipedia page about this Fredric Brown that appears to be a complete spoof. I've never heard of the guy and here he is being claimed to have originated half of the great SF I have read. Must be a miracle by the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Could this be a school assignment by a knowledgeable teacher who is trying to teach the students how to judge the reliability of WIkipedia? I looked into becoming a contributor to Wikipedia but it was more work than I was willing to go to while dealing with TEOTWAWKI, but a teacher might have, and it definitely would be possible to slip a spoof page in like this if a person was so inclined. Guess I better find the page again and call BS.
OK. I almost deleted my answer in embarrassment, but, interest if building to a truthful world dictates that I fess up. My answer is completely wrong. Further research, in The Science Fiction Encyclopedia , copyright 1979 indicates Fredric Brown must be a great one that I missed. He really existed and the wikipedia page is not a spoof.
The person who you think is a human soldier who killed an alien is actually an alien who killed the human. The story is from the alien s perspective. The story is just telling us that the alien might have the same opinion about humans like humans have about aliens.
