My swim team everyone wears jammers and no swim briefs (speedos), However when i was looking at a new swim suit i was thinking about trying a swim brief but i had to leave so i didnt have time. I am a little worried about being made fun of because the kids on my team think speedos are funny and when we faced a team with kids in speedos they were laughing.
Is there any way to avoid being made fun of?
Also is it worth it to make the switch from jammer to swim brief? Is it more comfortable, faster, etc. ?
How do i tell my parents i want to get a swim brief instead of a jammer?
Also any info on swim briefs vs. jammers would be appreciated. Thanks for your help
Aggiornamento:Also if i start swimming somewhere outside of school should i wear the speedo or jammer? What about on a beach? Also, is the speedo a lot tighter then a jammer regaurding the package area?

well when i was younger i thought it was weird to make the switch. i thought it would be weird to me more naked. but it actually isnt. and if you are worried that your package may show more, then buy a drag suit too. this is baggy and will cover you more. speedos are faster too so your teammates can just shut up. my whole team is opposite, our weird kids wear jammers. and with your parents, just tell them you want to be either different or faster. most likely you cant avoid being made fun of except to not give them the satisfaction by getting upset or by being nervous about it. wear it proud and dont second guess it and they will shut up
