Had an incident with my iPhone involving salt water (Sea water).. had my phone for around a year and a half (Purchased in July 2010 on apple site for £600). I've tried to fix it myself and opened it up, took it apart carefully etc with the help of a guide and cleaned the logic board with isopropynol alcohol at 99% since its already out of warranty... anyway i left it to dry for around 48 hours in some rice after putting it back together to find it displaying only a white screen with everything else fully functional. Will apple offer me an out of warranty replacement for it and for how much?

Unfortunately, NO.
The ONLY way that Apple will replace the iPhone is if you buy an Apple Care+ ($100) WITHIN 30 days from the day you bought the iPhone, plus an extra cost of $50.
You damage the iPhone, it's not Apple's fault, therefore they have nothing to do with it. Even the Warranty don't even cover if you just scratch the iPhone a little tiny bit.
The warranty only make sure that the phone is function properly like it supposed to.
Next time, I recommended you buy a Nano-coasting for your phone for waterproof (Not a Case, just a super thin layer that you don't even see). This option available with some private retailers about $60 I think. Google them.
No, they don't. There is a one-year Apple warranty, but it only covers manufacturing defects (for instance, if it just stopped working by itself). The only thing that covers accidental damage like dropping in a toilet is if you got insurance from your carrier ahead of time. P.S. There are little sensors inside the phone that change color after they get wet. So even if he dries out the phone and then tries to pretend it just stopped working, once they open it up, they'll know what really happened.
They will happily give you a new phone if you happily give them £600.
Salt water is a killer. the only thing you can do is to take the battery out (oops it's an iphone and you can't) then wash things out with distilled water and dry it with Isopropyl alcohol as soon as possible. It's important to get the salt out and alcohol won't do that. The real trick is not to take it swimming in the first place
you should have put it in rice for 3 days and maybe that would have helped you could still try it and see as it sounds like there is still water in the phone
