My friend has been cutting herself for a while now. A while ago she told a friend (let's call that friend rose) that she was cutting. Rose told the school counsellor but that didn't do anything. She basically ignored it. The cutters parents are in denial and think that she's stopped cutting but she hasn't. I tried to convince rose to go the counsellor and tell her she's cutting again but she refused and said it was betraying the cutters trust. rose just today at lunch tried to talk to the girl who is cutting( who is basically our best friend) but the girl who cuts told her to piss off and stay out of her buisness... It was our last day of school today and now we r on holidays for three weeks! Is there anything I can possibly do to help the girl who's cutting we r really close but she only found out I even knew today and she doent feel comfortable talking to anyone about it

I went through this with my friend not too long ago, and it was very very difficult so I see where your coming from.
This is what I did, I told a concellor and her parents. And everyday I asked her had she done it yet. When she does do it, give her a disappointed and hurt look and just say okay.
If this doesn't stop her, tell her how it's affecting you. Your sleep, your education and her health.
Keep an eye out and font keep it to yourself sweetie. Talk to your parents about it or your older siblings caus you cannot deal with this all on your own . I know I couldn't.

Okay, I'm about your age and this happens to my friends a lot. Unless the friend who cuts wants to stop, they usually wont. Find out what shes depressed about, try to help her with it. Once you find out why shes doing it, you can help her to get through it and not cut herself anymore.
If she doesn't want to talk about it, leave it because if you force it she may distance herself from you. Try to find out what the reason is she's cutting and help her
Ask your parents ( or you) call Child Protective Services. Call 411 for the number. They will investigate and get her help.
I know she is your friend and you don't want to betray her trust, but you will never forgive yourself if you fail to report that she is harming herself and then she commits suicide. You must tell someone and very soon.
